Terms of Service

Last updated July 1, 2026

By using SwimZone, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

What SwimZone is

SwimZone provides a free, daily, plain read on whether it's safe to swim at monitored U.S. lakes, ponds, and beaches, built from public data. It is for general information only. It is not a safety guarantee, not a live water test, and not a substitute for your own judgment. It summarizes public monitoring and advisories, but conditions change fast between samples and it cannot tell you the water is clean right now. Always look before you get in, avoid water that is scummy, discolored, or smells bad, keep children and dogs out of visible algae, and follow posted signs and local health guidance.

No warranty

The site and its verdicts are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. The underlying data comes from third parties and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. We don't guarantee the site will be accurate, available, or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SwimZone and its maintainer are not liable for any decision you make, or any loss or harm you suffer, based on the site or its verdicts. Use your own judgment and follow local health guidance for decisions about getting in the water.

Acceptable use

Please don't attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it in a way that degrades service for others, or use it unlawfully. The SwimZone name, design, and content are ours; the cited public data belongs to its respective sources.
